Ushuaia
The Ushuaia is an ice-strengthened vessel specially refurbished for Antarctic expedition voyages. Originally built in 1970 for the United States NOAA (National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration) agency, she now boasts 41 well-appointed cabins and suites for a total of 84 passengers. She benefits from generous deck space and an open bridge policy, while the knowledgeable and enthusiastic crew will enhance the experience of wildlife-viewing and overall enjoyment of the expedition. The food and wine is very good too! Each cabin has a desk and ample storage space, and publc areas include a fantastic observation lounge to maximise enjoyment of the voyage. A fleet of Zodiac inflatables is used for shore landings and wildlife viewing.
