Whale Watching in New England, USA

New England is the northeastern seaboard of the USA, consisting of the states of Connecticut, Maine, Vermont, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island. Every year, from April to November, humpback whales are found offshore, concentrated in places such as Stellwagen Bank, a designated national marine sanctuary. Humpbacks are natural show-offs, and a favourite with whale watchers all over the world. Here you can see them breaching, spy hopping, flipper slapping and lob tailing - and possibly witness their unique bubblenet feeding behaviour. There's also a fantastic chance to see other marine wildlife, such as dolphins, porpoises, basking sharks, ocean sunfish, and a myriad of seabirds.
